Our Learn English & Express Emotions Program created a welcoming space where participants built confidence in speaking English through real-life conversations, learned how to express emotions in supportive ways, and engaged in meaningful discussions around family, parenting, and everyday life in Canada.
The program also explored navigating systems such as healthcare, education, and employment, included Indigenous guest sessions, and encouraged peer discussion and community connection.
We’re excited to bring these workshops back soon. Stay tuned for more details.
#communityempowerment
HMF, NCCM and the Manitoba K-12 Anti-Islamophobia Working Group hosted a special community gathering to launch the Manitoba government’s K–12 Anti-Islamophobia Action Plan, an important milestone in ensuring more inclusive schools for Muslim students across the province.
This provincial initiative is the first of its kind in Canada.
