In times of hardship, it’s natural to feel overwhelmed by the struggles we face. In these trials of faith, if we’re not careful, Satan may sow fear and doubt in our hearts. In such vulnerable moments, emotions can cloud our beliefs, causing our faith to weaken. Islam teaches us to remain steadfast by relying on Allah’s Mercy and Grace. We pray for His protection from life’s challenges, and to receive His mercy, we must show mercy to others. Be kind.

Human actions stem from one’s knowledge and intelligence, reflecting the state of their soul. Actions reveal and shape a person’s character.

In the verse, “rahīn” can mean a pledge or hostage, suggesting that actions are a person’s pledge to God for either reward or punishment. However, Tafsīr-e Namūneh interprets “rahīn” as continuous presence, meaning actions remain with a person forever, shaping their soul and status with God.

Since actions define our eternal form and journey, we should focus on refining them, just as we care for our physical body. Recite this verse to remind yourself that your deeds are your eternal companion, so beautify them while you can for the journey ahead.

Faith is not always constant; we experience times when our faith is strong and other times when it feels weak. Interestingly, the Arabic word for heart, “qalb,” literally means “to turn.” This reminds us to regularly reflect on the state of our hearts and ask Allah to keep them steadfast in faith.

Allah’s Messenger (Pbuh) said: Verily, the hearts of all the sons of Adam are between the Two Fingers out of the fingers of the Compassionate Lord as one heart. He turns that towards any (direction) He likes. Then Allah’s Messenger (pbuh) said: 0 Allah, the Turner of the hearts, turn our hearts towards your obedience. #islamicreminders #fridayreminders

“This ayah is powerful; if we truly understood and internalized it, it would transform our character. We naturally act differently in front of authority, like a manager or speed camera. Knowing that “”He is with you wherever you are – Allah sees what you do”” should change how we behave. If it doesn’t, we should question whether we’ve truly understood it or if it’s only a superficial understanding, not one that has reached our hearts.” #islamicteachings #blessedfriday ...

Islamic law promotes reconciliation, unity, and harmony among Muslims while prohibiting actions that cause division, hostility, and hatred. In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) warns against suspicion, which involves accusing others of wrongdoing without evidence. This form of judgment can lead to disunity and hostility within the community. Scholars advise giving others the benefit of the doubt and considering their circumstances before passing judgment, as their actions may be misunderstood or taken out of context. The Prophet (ﷺ) emphasized avoiding suspicion, as it often results in broken relationships and community discord based on unfounded assumptions. ...
